Michael Denman
Michael Denman has dedicated the last 12 years to public education, driven by a passion for empowering students and fostering a thriving school community. A proud 2008 graduate of the Caesar Rodney School District, Mr. Denman is thrilled to give back to the district that shaped his educational journey and personal values.
He began his career as a paraprofessional at Kent County Community School, where he cultivated a deep understanding of individualized student support. Building on this foundation, he served as a special education teacher for seven years in the Capital School District, developing innovative strategies to meet diverse learning needs. His leadership skills led to his role as Dean of Students, a position he held for four years, where he focused on fostering a positive school culture and addressing student behavioral and academic challenges.
In addition to his work in the classroom and administration, Mr. Denman has made a significant impact as a coach. He led the Capital School District’s lacrosse program as Head Coach for nine years, guiding his teams to success and instilling values of teamwork and perseverance. He also served as the Head Varsity Soccer Coach for two seasons, further demonstrating his commitment to student growth both on and off the field.
Mr. Denman holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from West Virginia University and two advanced degrees from Wilmington University: a Master’s in Special Education and a Master’s in School Leadership.
Believing deeply in the power of community partnerships, Mr. Denman prioritizes strengthening relationships among parents, teachers, support staff, and students. He is committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed, emphasizing equity, collaboration, and support at all levels of the school system.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Denman is a devoted husband and proud father, finding inspiration in his family to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
